At the Oakmont Water Authority, there is no higher priority than protecting the health and safety of our customers and employees. To minimize the risk of exposure to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have initiated plans to provide additional stability to our day to day operations. These plans put into place to maintain quality water service to your homes and businesses.
Oakmont Water Authority continues to monitor updates provided by the Center for Disease Control, World Health Organizations as well as other state and federal organizations. We are continuously evaluating the situation and the latest developments to determine how we can protect our customers and employees.
Our drinking water treatment procedures provide protection that includes filtration and disinfection of our water supply. These treatments are effective in removing and / or inactivating viruses. Our water meets and exceeds all current federal and state drinking water requirements. Oakmont Water has placed a moratorium on service shut offs. We will continue to evaluate this moratorium as more information becomes available. We also are suspending all non-essential field appointments as of 3/16/2020. We will work on an emergency basis only.
In addition, our office at 721 Allegheny Avenue will be closed to the public. Our staff will continue to work and accept payments through our online resources or the drop – box located at 721 Allegheny Avenue. If you have any questions, please contact one of our staff members at
